William Richard Hooper, his wife Sarah Jane (Munshaw),their children: Richard, Mary, Emma, Aaron, Sophina, William and Alberta moved to Wichita County in 1883 where they staked a claim of land near Leoti (possibly 5 miles north of Coronado). After several years they abandoned the claim and moved to Atchison.
Richard married Margaret "Maggie" Miles (I don't know if she was from Kansas or not). Maggie is believed to have died from pneumonia in the vicinity of Leoti.
