Unfortunately, I don't think that is the same James H. Turner we are looking for. Our, or at least my, information shows James Hamilton Turner being killed on 5 NOV 1875.

Just to be sure, you should email the genealogical society and have someone look at the paper work. The date listed is the date of the court case, not the date of death.

this james h turner did die in 1875...i already did all of that....and this james had married martha ray.

I thought he was killed in 78 in that shootout over some political thing?

the shootout was in 1875......i am searching for any of his decendants or any info on him personally...good or bad.
