Fisher Kansas

My Grandfather & Grandmother owned a quarter section of land from 1909 to 1944 in the north west area of Stanton County, KS. In his diary he mentions walking to Fisher Kansas for his mail so it must have been close by. Also, he and my Grandmother mentioned in the diary walking into Colorado from there property so it must just be a walk of a couple of miles to Colorado.

I haven’t found much information on Fisher Kansas. It’s on old maps from the 1890’s to around 1920 so I know it did exist. On the internet I found a site that says it was a small hamlet and post office in the north west area of Stanton Co.

Does anyone have any further information on Fisher Kansas? I have a little more info if it would help.
Thanks
Steve
I'm sorry that my gr gr's brother,Andrew Schauble, does not seem to be yours. Mine was born 29 Nov 1835 and died 10 Dec 1918 in Stanton, Neb. He was married to a Wilhelmina.

I do have another, who was born in 1874 and only living 1 1/2 years. The original spelling of these 2 was Andreas Schaible.

With the Schauble spelling, there are Andreas b 1776, 1838, 1980 & 1982 who do not have death dates.

I have been trying to find my great grandfathers ancestors. He was Andrew Shobel (I assume his name was Americanized} I did hear it was spelled Schobel but he dropped the c. The dictionary said the Schobel is a varient of Schauble. My great grandfather Andrew Shobel married Margaret Nurse from Whales in 1910 in South Sharon, Mercer, PA. They had a daughter Edna in 1911 in PA. They moved to Youngstown, Oh shortly after and had Willam, Edward, John, and Betty. The 1920 US Federal Census show his immigration year to be 1905 and both Naturalized in 1910. I can find Margaret Nurse with her family in 1910 in PA. I can not find him anywhere before 1920. In the PA census of 1910 she is listed as naturalized in 1894. So you can not always go by what they say on the Census. I know of no relatives. He did state that he came from Baden;Deutshland Germany and both his parents were from Germany. I need Help and any Help would be appreciated. Bridgette
