I have found information in the Iberia Parish Courthouse in the succession of Melvin Roy Amerman, which was an affidvat in which James and Elva Onstott stated that they were intimate friends of the Amerman family and knew Melvin and Juanita Amerman since the year of 1918 and they knew the three Amerman children, Reginald Eugene, Luther Berkeley, and Louise Amerman, who was the wife of Dr. Blair Valdemar Jager and the mother of Eric, Robert A., and Bruce Valdemar Jager, and I thougth maybe some information on the Onstott's would shed some light on the Amerman's.
I think that Melvin and Juanita Amerman were married in 1907 and as far as I know they were never divorced and remarried, and Melvin Roy Amerman died here in Iberia Parish, on July 10, 1956 and he left a widow, Juanita Peacock Amerman.
