Searching for information on the Rice family of Ottawa Co., Kansas. Norval Earl Rice was born June 1, 1894 in Bennington, Kansas. He was the son of George Rice (born 1849 in Missouri) and Anna Langston (born 1858 in New York). Norval had siblings: Walter E. (1879), Katie (1882), Opal (1882), George (1884), Effie May (1886), Mamie (1888), Mason (1891). All of the Rice children were born in Kansas, probably near Bennington.

Norval Earl Rice married Alice "Ada" (Barnes) Dick in about 1928. They had two sons, Loren George Rice (July 1929) and Kenneth Rice (1931). Norval and Ada Rice can be found on the 1930 census in Minneapolis, Ottawa Co., Kansas.
