I am looking for historic or burial records for this family. Thomas L b 1828 and Adeline M ,.1834. T.L as he went by, was a school teacher and I did read that he was one of the first teachers in Labette, became principal and eventually was a sheriff.ADeline and children lived with son DEwitt after T.L. died. They married in Illinois or kentucky but were from Hopkins, Christian, Ky.They had about 6 children who settled in Kansas with them. I cannot find anything about this family. My great grandmother (oldest daughter)married as this family traveled through Arkansas on their way to kansas. Only 2 married in Kansas and I am having a terrible time trying to find the lines. I have tried the historical society- they came up with nothing. I know they were there- I found them on census from 1880 on. Can anyone help???
