Greetings,
I'm seeking additional information regarding (possibly) the William Beevers you mentioned. The William Beevers I'm researching was born Nov. 1846 in England and reportedly immigrated to USA in 1849. On 31 March in Raisin Twp, Lenawee Co. Michigan, he married Huldah M. Allen also born Nov. 1846 in New York. This marriage produced nine children:
1. Adelbert b. 1871
2. Elizabeth A. b. 15 Feb 1872
3. Nellie M. b. 1875
4. Charles A. b. Aug 1877
5. Alice C. (or M.) b. 26 July 1881
6. Oren B. b. Aug 1883
7. Blanche E. b. 16 Oct 1884
8. Earl C. b. 15 July 1887
9. Blance Florence b. 28 Sep 1890

Do any of these names correlate with your William Beevers?

Thanks,
Matthew
Hi Phyllis,
Thanks you for the copy of J.B Aubuchon's obituary. I can try to explain the link between my family and Julian Branch Aubuchon. His father, J.B. Aubuchon, Sr. was the son of Marie Amanda Branch and Charles Timothy Aubuchon. Marie Amanda Branch was the daughter of Julian Branch and Mildred Holt. Julian and Mildred also had a daughter Martha, and a son, Phillip. Phillip Branch was my great-great-grandfather. I guess I am hoping to run into some relative that has lots of information on this family. Maybe even some interesting stories that have been passed down the generations. I am happy to share anything I have on the family and I would love to see anything you are willing to share. You can email me at wbashinski@cfl.rr.com.
Again, I appreciate your help,
Wendy

Scott.

The Fall River News, Friday, Jan. 11, 1901, Pg. 1
Vol. III, No. 14
Elisha Scott
Was born in Boone county, Indiana, July 20th, 1840, emigrated with his parents to Laclede county, Mo., in the fall of 1850, united to the Christian church in 1858 or 59, being baptized in the Dry Blaze, volunteered in the Union army in June 1861; was mustered out November 20th, 1865, at Benton Barracks, Mo. Was married March 24th, 1864, to Miss Mary H. Wood, and moved to Greenwoodcounty, Kansas, in April, 1883. “The first vote I ever cast was for Abraham Lincoln for his second term for president.”

The above was written by Mr. Scott some time prior to his death, and in anticipation of that event, as he had been in very poor health for several years past. In fact more than a year ago it was not thought possible that he could live but a very short time. Consumption was the dreaded disease with which he had to contend. He died January 6th, 1901. His wife survives him.No man in our town was held in higher esteem then was Elisha Scott. In his death the community loses a good citizen.

VICTORIAN HOUSE near Tonovay corner on Hwy. 54 EULA & JAMES T. "B.J." "BABE" RYAN

I am looking for any photos or information on a large victorian house that was situated on a farm just west of the Tonovay corner on Hwy. 54 outside of Eureka, KS. In the 1930s (and possibly earlier and later) it belonged to my grandmother, Eula (Storer) who had these married names (in order) Dimick, Ryan, Rigg, and Smith. During at least part of the time she lived in this home she was married to my grandfather James T. Ryan who was better known as "Babe" or "B.J.". Her children who would have lived there with her were Rodney Dimick, Pansy Dimick, Billy Ryan and Margaret (Joan) Ryan. The house was evidently torn down in the 1990s so I was able to see it but when I went back to take photos it was gone.

I am looking for any photos or articles or advertising materials from my grandmother's store Rigg's Dry Goods that was located in Hamilton Kansas. I do not know what year it opened and closed but I do know that it existed in the 50s/60s at least. My grandmother's name was Eula (Storer) Rigg at the time and her husband was Gene Rigg. She had two married names previously which were Dimick and Ryan. Later in life her last married name was Smith. Her husband, Gene, helped run the store along with my father and mother, Bill and Thelma Ryan.

I am related to Henry J. Cantrell and his 1st wife Ursula Shelton. They had a son, James Lafayette (J.L. or Fayette, as he was called), who married Mary Viola Shipley. They are my great grandparents and also the connection to Cherokee Nation. Their daughter, my grandmother, Martha Cantrell was born in Indian Territory (now Ottawa County, OK) in 1895. There is a narrative that Mary Viola Cantrell did for the WPA in 1938 and tells where she came from and how they ended up in Indian Territory. It can be found at: www.rootsweb.com/~okgenweb/pioneer/pioneer.htm

Bee ~ I've answered you directly in an email but want to post to the board, too. Haven't found any death info for Almira although I believe she may have died in Woodson County between 1870 and 1880. William died there in 1880 and is buried with his sister Ann and her husband William DeWitt. Hope that helps someone, somewhere if it doesn't help us right now! Sherre

I am descended through his youngest child, Frances Lucretia. She married John Branham and they together had 9 children. Of those 9 children my great-grandmother Ora Bessie Branham was the 7th child. She married Flavius J Shehi and they had a son and she was widowed a year later. Then 2 years later she married my great-grandfather Albert F. (Fred A.) Bartlett. I descend from their youngest son Raymond and his youngest son Albert F Bartlett II. My Uncle and Aunt visited the town in Missouri once where the killing of the Barnes girls and one's husband took place. My uncle also xeroxed some pages from that book I told you about that tells a little bit of the family history. IF you will provide your email address I will email you. To answer one question thought, as far I knew, the twins were never recovered. My aunt spoke to a distant cousin in Missouri and they told her the twins were never found. But they could be wrong about that.

I have a James William Lowen, born 4-21-1842 in England to James Lowen and Sarah Botten, who married a Malinda Rhodes on Jan 1, 1882 (his 2nd marriage). But I have him living in Illinois, rather than Colorado. This is the only Rhodes that I have in my database that is married to a Lowen.

I have 7 Lowens in my database that were born in Colorado, but no James.

Number eight cemetery

I was wondering if someone has a list of people buried in the Number eight cemetery, east of Madison.

I am trying to find a death certificate for my grandfathers aunt, and thought she was living in Coffey county at the time of her death but they can't find a death certificate for her and netiher can Greenwood County.I have just come across information that states she is buried in Number 8 cemetery and would like to verify and try to get her death date to get her death certificate again.

She is Cynthia (Synthia) Pearce White Smith. Pearce was her maiden name, White was her first married name and Smith is her second husbands name. I assume her sons would of put Smith on the headstone, but just in case, giving all her names. She was alive in the 1930 census and by her age thinking she died sometime soon after.

Any help would be appreciated, actually just want her death certificate to see if it lists any information about her parents, Jesse Pearce and Isabel (Johnson) Marshall, my brick walls. It would be great if they are buried there also, they were living next to her in 1880, and then just disappeared, but that was in Franklin county so would be very surprised.

My greatgrandfather was Henry Fish, b. 1844 in Oneida, NY, who moved to Carpinteria in Santa Barbara county, California, about 1870 and lived there for the rest of his life. He married Juliette Walker, who crossed the plains in her father's wagon train at 16, and they had six kids. Only two of them had children: my grandfather begat my father, who begat me; but grandpa's sister Frances married a cattleman named Will Brown of Fall River, Kansas, and after her parents had gone to all the trouble of moving clear across the US, she moved halfway back and had nine children in Kansas: Robert William, Lawrence Edwin, Henry MacLoren, Margaret Louise, Thomas Franklin, Francis Richard, Charles Warren, Ralph Murray, and Donald Albert. Nary a Sam in the lot, but I don't know anything about Will Brown's siblings or ancestors. The descendants are a nice bunch of people.
