I may be able to assist you with your search for Zachariah T. Nelson (Z.T.). Sometime around 1903, Z.T. came to California. He became a very successful businessman, and was instrumental in the incorporation of the City of Signal Hill. Z.T. died in 1922 and is buried at Fairhaven Cemetery in Santa Ana, Calif.
