Hill Services Monday
Olive L. Hill, 305 S. Wichita, Benton died Friday morning at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Christian Church in Benton. Burial will follow in the Benton Cemetery.
Mrs. Hill was born August 30, 1913 at Towanda, the daughter of David William and Myrtle Mooney Bloir. She had lived in the Benton area for 52 years moving there from Towanda. She had worked for the postal department in Benton for 30 years.
She was married to Merton P. Hill on January 24, 1933 in El Dorado. He survives. She was a member of the Christian Church of Benton, the Cleophus Club, a member and past president of Kansas rural letter carriers auxiliary and a member of the National rural letter carriers auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Merton of the home, a son LeRoy Hill of El Dorado, one daughter Joanne Patrick of Augusta, 2 brothers, Clifford Bloir of El Dorado; and David Bloir of Wichita, a sister Vinita Bartach of Atlanta, Kansas and 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Ina May Bloir.
Memorials in her memory for the American Cancer Society may be left at Carlson Funeral Home where friends may call.
