James and Robert are buried in Evergreen Cemetery just south of Ft. Scott on the old highway.
They are buried in section 9 row 11 and per the cemetery book. It appears that they share a gravestone.
James Aug 11, 1830 - Nov 1, 1898
Robert Feb 27, 1828 - Feb 16, 1892
There are several other McCord's in the cemetery, but they aren't buried right with James and Robert. Most are much younger. The only McCords of their era are Jennie who died June 8, 1892 lot 57 section 6 (no stone) and TJ who was born in 1867 and died in 1930 row 6 section 14.
I don't live in that area so I can't do an obit lookup any time soon. You might try the Old
Fort Genealogical Society. They might do a lookup. I have not asked them to do research, but I have used the library. Contact information can be found at:
