My grandfather Clarence r Johnson ran a polo pony ranch of some sort in union county in the early to mid 1940s. We used to have a picture of my dad Russell Woodrow Johnson on a polo pony in full regalia. I can't find anything online about this brief and probably unsuccessful venture. Anyone out there have any info or family connections do share? Thank you.

This John William Allen Cox was the father of Miss Gertrude Mary Cox who was a famous Statistician. She founded the Experimental Statistics Department at North Carolina State University. Both John William Allen and his wife Emmy died in Raleigh, North Carolina (at different times). I would like to know if they are buried in Raleigh or were they returned to Perry, Iowa for burial? There is a Cox Hall on the campus of N. C. State which was dedicated in her name while she was still alive. She died of leukemia at Duke University Hospital in Durham in 1978. She was a wonderful person and touched so many lives throughout the world. They gave her an honorary Ph. D. at Iowa State University and she was also a member of the National Academy of Science.
I am looking for William Walker b. 1800 d. Nov 1860 per the mortalitity schedule for Marion, Union Co. IA. I am thinking that he might be the father of Louisa T. Walker b. 1833 in Bedford Co. TN. But have nothing to go on. Louisa Walker and George Ackles married in 1854 in Jefferson Co. IA they went to MO and then to OR to live. I believe (as is stated on her headstone in the Ackles Cemetery of Union Co. OR)that Rebeckah's husband was Wm Walker. I believe that Rebeckah came west with George and Louisa along with one of Louisa's sister Matilda. I haven't been able to locate Wm Walker until this evening. So anyone knowing of this Walker family please contact me?
Thanks,
Melody

Maria Dunst was his daughter and she married Michael Elftmann.
We are descended from Michael and Maria through their daughter Bertha. I have a link to the church; if you are interested, I can send it along.
Nice to have someone in the family to share info with. We are the lost branch of the family because they left out Bertha's son Walter Theodore Frank and have her listed as married to WGFrank instead of WC Frank. Trying to correct whatever we can.
Do you happen to have any info on the ship they came over on? It was called the Columbia and it came to Philadelphia in 1871. I once had the ships passenger list right in front of me and the computer crashed. Lost it all. Any help is appreciated. Your Albert Dunst is listed on there too but cannot remember how old he was.
Thank you.

I am looking for information on the Fernald family that lived in Dubuque, Iowa. Julia B Henley Fernald (1845-?) and Daniel Fernald (1853-?). They had Eddie b. 1880, Charles b. 1881 and Anna b. 1884.

I seem to have gone cold on the search.

Thanks. Any help would be appreciated.

I have lots of information for any descendants of Julia Bickford Henley Fernald. She was born in Nova Scotia.

Thanks.

Valerie

Could somebody if they have time on their hands give me a bit of help? I have been researching my family name Morris and just recently found a new marriage record that shows my 3rd ggfather to be Alford G Morse and all other records I had found before show him as Albert Morris b. abt 1814/15 New York m. 1846 IL to Annis A Eastman b. 1829/30 in Adams New York. This is the same person that much Im sure of from all the records I have. Could someone search his line for me and see if you can find a father and mothers name for Albert Morris or Alford G Morris. Ive looked for a year now nearly and find nothing, hoping for someone else to have better luck on that end then I.

Thanks,
Mr. Cecil H Morris
I can't even get my grandfather's notice, even though I need to give it to my doctor for him to check me for same conditions.

Well, I need ancestors that reach back further than my gggrandfather Edward F. Mason. I believe his name is Alonzo Henry Mason that was born in KY (may now be OH). There are two clans, the WVA and the NE Mason families. I'm having a difficult time getting the birth dates to make sense to where Alonzo is Edward's father. My second cousin is 96 and still remember's Alonzo and Edward well. I just can't validate the right Alonzo. Any help would be appreciated.
