I`m looking for any information about Elna K.Johnsson who emigrated to Amerika november 9.1900, 32 years old with her two daughters Ester M 3 years old and Ruth E 11 month. Destination Chicago Illinois with a note says "to husband Eagle Grove Iowa". I`ve found Elna and her two daughters in Ellis Island manifest. I belive the two daughters both where born in US.
Can anyone find them in census??

Elna K. Johnson (26 May 1868 - 18 March 1905) is buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove, Iowa. WPA records show 1915 as death date which is incorrect). In 1910, her children are enumerated with their father and his new wife, Karoline Johnson, age 42, born Sweden (immigrated 1906); Grace Johnson, age 2 (their daughter); and Elna's children: Esther, age 12; Ruth E., age 11 and Anna I. Johnson, age 9. Husband is shown as Carl H./Jarl/Earl? Also in household is Elsie Johnson, age 27, born Sweden, sister-in-law, immigrated 1906.

My grandmother who was born 7/29/20 in Eagle Grove, Iowa was given up for adoption at the Iowa Child Home of Des Moines. She was born Marian Eleanore Johnson. I am trying to find her birth family. If you have any information, please notify me. Thank you. Ronda (Holman) Loon. Looners22@aol.com
