Andrew Jackson Shriver and his wife Dernetna Linsenbigler are listed in the 1860 census for Cedar Twp in Van Buren County. By the 1870 census they had returned to his home in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. According to family lore some of their children died while they was in Van Buren County, Iowa -- so likely between 1855 and 1865. I have reason to believe that the death of the children caused their return. I am interested in cemetary records from Ceder Twp. (or nearby townships) that may list "Shriver" from the time period. I would also like to contact decendants of other Shriver's who may have lived in that county at the time -- I know there was a Hector Shriver in a nearby county and a John Shriver (both of whom may be related).
