Supt. M.R. Finley purchased the Mrs. Jennie Carpenter residence for the sum of $3200. He with his
familiy are ocupying the Mrs. Minetta Brown residence . Mrs. Carpenter plans to make her home with
her daughter , Mrs. Elsie Morris in Sioux City and will hold a household goods sale soon.

The Mrs. E. C. Carpenter household goods sale held Saturday afternoon was well attended. Bill Hartman of Hawarden was the auctioneer and Mrs. Carpenter's daughter and son-in-
law, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Langle,clerked, with the assistance of another daughter of Mrs. Carpenter's, Mrs.Elsie Morris of Sioux City. Many from Hawarden and vicinity attended.
