Tom. Parrott, 80, who lived in Hawarden
the past 25 years, died last Thursday
in, the Hawarden Nursing home.
He had been in poor Health for a
year. Three months ago he went to
the Hawarden Nursing home to live.
Thomas J. Parrott, the oldest son
of Thomas and Ida Parrott, was born
September 23, 1868, at Brainerd,
Minn, .The major part of his life was
spent in Hawarden, Ireton and Sioux
City. While in Hawarden, Mr. Parrott
operated a dray line for many years.
Survivors are two brothers, Frank
of Ireton and Russell of Encina, California,
and a sistei-, Mrs. Ben Ware
of Gentry, Ark., and several nieces
and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2
o'clock Saturday afternoon in the Barnard
Funeral home with Rev. B. Roy
Brown of the Methodist church in
charge. Interment was in Pleasant
Hill cemetery at Ireton.
