Ringgold Co. Iowa is just north of Harrison Co., Missouri where my Cutshall family lived. My great-grandmother was Nora Florence Cutshall who married Samuel Francis Gannan and they lived in Harrison Co., MO. On the 1920 census Nora says her father was born in Iowa. Her father was Orendo Atwood Cutshall. Does any of this connect with your line? Or did any of your line travel into Missouri?

My mothers maiden name was Gannan and her father's name was Frank D. Gannan Sr. and his father's name I believe was Samuel Francis Gannan. He passed away a few years ago and his wife (I only remember her as great grandma) passed away from a heart attack around 1984. They lived in Gilman City and had many other children, whom I don't know. I believe these are the same people however and if you know any more please e-mail me. I am trying to find out more about my family.

I can't find a connection, but I don't have that much info on the Cutshall family. My Orendo or "Ren" did have a brother named Bill. What does the B. stand for in Ira B. Cutshall?

Susan, I don't know what the middle initial 'B' is for yet. I have sent for my grandmother's birth certificate in hopes my great-grandfather's middle name will be on it.
