I need help from anyone in Iowa or Minnesota on Death and Burial or other records of the Thompson's below.
Abner E (Edward) Thompson
Born <1868> Wisconsin
Died 6 Oct 1900
Wife Clara P. Higday Thompson
Living in Sioux City while working for Great Northern railroad.
Lived in Plymouth County and Cherokee County before death.
Records from the LeMars Sentinel 8 Oct 1900 Page 4 Col 2 have Abner Killed near Maynard, Minnesota
when Two trains collided.
The Lemars Sentinel dated 25 Oct 1900 states that HENRY THOMPSON father on Abner from Afton, Iowa Investigated the accident and the report sent out from the place where the accident occurred, read that Freight Train #55 crashed into the work train one mile north of MARSHALL, Minnesota.
I have been unable to find a DEATH record in either State or where Abner is Buried.
I have a Probate record that states his wife Clara P. Higday Thompson paid $125.00 for a Monument for Abner E Thompson at Cherokee. Hearse & Carriages at funeral $25.00.
