My grandparents were living in Ocheydan, Osceola Co. in 1920. Their names were Sietse (Samuel) TERPSTRA and Trientje (Catherine) KLAVER. They had four children: Mitchell, Gertrude, Dora and Peter.
I would like the names (if, there were any) of newspapers being published that included this area. The last child was born in 1920.
I've been told there is a picture of Mitchell in a grade school in Minnesota. Does anyone know if, the kids could cross the state line to go to school? He would have been about six years old at the time.
The family was Dutch. They had just immigrated from the Netherlands in 1914 first to Primghar and later to Osceola.
Thanks for your help, Joyce
