Barbara Jean Krueger, 54, of Muscatine died Sunday, March 2, 2003, at the home of her daughter in Letts.
She was born July 22, 1948, in Muscatine, the daughter of Robert L. and Helen M. Hallmark Stammer.
She moved David W. Krueger on December 18, 1985, in Davenport. He preceded her in death on October 26, 2002.
She lived in Muscatine from 1948 – 1996 then moved to Waterloo, returning in 2002.
She had been employed as manager of the Holiday Gas Station in Waterloo and owned and operated Barb’s Beauty Boutique in Fruitland for many years.
She is survived by one son, Brian Machlan of Muscatine; one daughter, Sara Burroughs of Letts; granddaughters, Ashlie and Amanda Burroughs; two brothers, E.A. Stammer of Boyertown, Pennsylvania, and Bob L. Stammer of Albany, Illinois; and two sisters, Mary Ann Jordan of Camanche and Melissa Blue of Shoreline, Washington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and two brothers, Robert L. Stammer, Jr. and David Joe Stammer.
An informal gathering in her memory will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 9, in the banquet room of the EconoLodge in Muscatine. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
