Am researching my g-grandfather, Louis Kessler, who married Mary Ann Smith in 1867 in Ohio. Their son, Henry Cletus Kessler (my grandfather), born Dec 1867 in Council Bluffs, Iowa and 2nd son, Charles Kessler. Louis Kessler was employed by the railroad. They lived in Monona Co., Iowa and Louis had relatives (a sister) living in Onawa. Louis and Mary Anne (Molly) divorced in the early 1870s and she raised the two sons, moving to Nebraska.
