I am trying to determine if George's son, Granville Parker Linville, who married a Polly A Jones of MO is the Polly A Jones that is t he sister of Sarah Jane Jones and James Henry Jones. Her father would of been Shelton Jones of Clay County, MO. Polly was living with her father in Clay county, MO when the cencus was taken...she married Granville on 19 Dec 1860 in Glenwood, Mills County, IA, since it is so late in the year, she could be in IA by Dec.
Polly A Jones was born 7 Nov 1842 in MO she died 06 July

I was hoping that someone would be able to help me locate a relative of my husband's. His name is Joseph V. Hinchman and he died in October 1902. It's my understanding from reading old newspaper articles he was a drug store owner and was a a contributor to many, many charities, churches, colleges, etc. I assume he is buried in Glenwood, but I'm not sure and I would love to get a photo fo his grave, as well as his wife's and child (who I understand died in infancy). Paulson family history

My grandfather was Joseph Paulson who died in 1914 and my Grand Mother was Clara Paulson who died in 1915. They lived in Malvern. If you haven't done so already, I would recommend that you submit this query on the Fremont County, Iowa message board also. The town of Tabor, Iowa was built on the Mills/Fremont Counties, Iowa lines. Most of the town is in Fremont County except for the Tabor Cemetery, located on the northern edge town and is in Mills County.

Just thought I'd help out a little. Hope you find what you are looking for.

I am searching for an obituary for Myrtle Foote. She died in 1957. She served as a missionary with the Congregational Church and evidently was written up in a pamphlet entitled, "A Century of Faith 1852 - 1952" published by the Congregational Church at Tabor, IA, 100th anniversary of the church. If someone should have this pamplet and knows what wwas written about Myrtle Foote, I would really appreciate hearing back. Thanks.

Hi Erica, you may or may not be wrong on the county, Mills and Pottawattamie are adjacent, so there could conceivably be a connection with Mills as well; I just didn't see any, but that may not mean much.

I have been looking for the Owens line, but I dont know if they are your Owens. Mine is David Owens, of Henderson, and his father William Edward Owens, of Wales Iowa.

David was married to Maggie, and they lived in Henderson from 1950 till his death in 1965.

William and Maggie lived in Wales, Iowa then moved to Red Oak, Iowa.

As I search I have found many more Owens that I dont recognize. I was hoping you could tell me if you know my Owens, if they are related to yours.

I have no way of knowing if this connects to your line but I do have a Monroe Co. Iowa marriage.

They were in Kansas for some years after 1900 then
returned to Iowa where they died and are burried in

This story is fascinating. My husband descends from the brother of Sarah Ann Webster Wright, who married Appler. It is interesting that Sarah's mother was Octavia Wright Webster, but I have not found a connection between the two Wright families.
