Surnames: BUZICK, BUSICK, TIMMONS, WAKELY, HARTMAN
Hello. I recently learned that my ancestors, the BUZICK family, were in Jefferson County from about 1840-1848. My ggg-grandfather, Edward Buzick (aka Busick) died in Jefferson Co. in December 1843 leaving a widow (married 8 yrs) and 3 children. His widow, Sarah C. (Timmons) Buzick remarried in May 1845 to Stiles Wakely. (Something must have happened to that marriage as well, becuase I show her marrying again in 1847 in Polk Co. to a David Hartman -- 20 years her senior).

I'm looking for information on who the three children are. I believe that my gg-grandfather, Elias is one of them, and possibly a son named Arthur A. and a daughter. Elias (and possibly brother Arthur) ended up marrying sisters in Lexington, IL and both fought in the Civil War with the 94th, Co. I of the IL. I learned today, via books at the Seattle Genealogical Society, that there was both a Probate record (box #3) and a guardinship record (box #2) recorded in the name Edward A. Buzick! Can anyone tell me how to access these records? I'm hopeful that this is the key to my brick wall!!

The Buzick family resided, I believe, in Libertyville Township and purchased land in that area as well. I don't believe they stayed long, since much of my records indicate that in 1850 they were in Ft. Des Moines, Polk Co. IA.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
