Although we have not been able to document it yet, the parents of Levi (b. 1811) Jennings (married to Susannah Buchanan) are John and Mary Jennings. Mary's maiden name has not been documented yet, but we believe that one of the grandchildren (Levi and Susannah's oldest), Samuel Buchanan Hawk Jennings, was named after Samuel H. Jennings, another brother to your Levi and my Delilah Jennings, and he followed the same procedure- a middle name after the mother's maiden name.
