My relative is Theodore Groetken (b. 1816 Hanover, Germany sp. Maria). Their children are Maria, b. 1850, Theodore, b. 1852 and Henry Herman b. 1856 all in Iowa. I see this family in the 1870 Federal Census in Tete Des Morts Township on page 17. Also in this census on page 5 there is a Herman married to Catherine. Henry Herman Groetken (son of Theodore and Maria) married Mary E. Kamp (b. Jul 1861 in Minnesota). They were married 24, Nov 1885 in Plymouth County, Iowa.
