Try Isaac age 42 [blacksmith] and Matilda age 39 Reynolds in 1850 Sharon, PA (see bottom of my listing) as possible blood parents for Thomas Reynolds/Rannals. My guess is that Matilda is another daughter of Robert and Matilda Campbell, see below.

1. The John Campbell/Rachel Jennings bible page, lists John's parents as Robert and Matilda Campbell. William C. Campbell married to Delilah Jennings, brother and aunt respectively of John and Rachel.

2. Eliza Campbell Waddle, married to John Waddle, living in Farmers Creek Township, Jackson County, Iowa, daughter of Robert and Matilda Campbell. William C. Campbell's daughter also named Eliza.

3. John Campbell and Rachel Jennings moved from Pennsylvania to Iowa and back to Pennsylvania, with John buried in West Middlesex cemetery, Mercer County, PA.

4. John and Robert Campbell in 1900 both list parents born father in Virginia and mother in Maryland. William C. Campbell in 1880 lists his parents born father in Virginia and mother in Maryland. Eliza Campbell Waddle lists her parents in 1880 as born Pennsylvania and Pennsylvania, but perhaps she was not the informant, or had no information. In 1880 Farmers Creek Township, Jackson County, Iowa, p. 7, John Waddle 45, Eliza Waddle 40, Thomas Renils, age 25, born Ohio, father's birthplace not listed, mothers listed as Maryland, may have been a mix up between Thomas' and Eliza's mothers' birthplaces? Or perhaps Matilda, oldest child or near oldest, was born in Maryland before the family moved to Pennsylvania?

This is all I have at present on the linkage, but I seem to get it more interstitially connected the more I look. Although I don't believe we have proper documentation, we have a lot of possible connections that indicate William C. Campbell could be a son of Robert and Matilda Campbell.

I have a four pages of family bible papers for a John Campbell born August 4, 1830 d. Jan. 12, 1901. His wife Rachel Jennings born Oct. 20, 1840. It lists John as being buried in the West Middlesex, Cemetery, Mercer Co., PA
