FREMONT COUNTY HERALD. August 19, 1920. "COUNTY PICNIC SEPTEMBER 15". -- Final arrangements have been made for a County Farm Bureau Picnic at Sidney on September 15. Mr. C. W. Hunt, president of the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation has been secured to deliver an address to the Farm Bureau membership on that date; extensive arrangements are being made for an all around good time for every one.

Aside from the main address of the day,
(1) a musical program is being arranged.
(2) Athletic events, including a one hundred yard dash for boys under 12; free for all hundred yard dash; fifty yard dash for men over fifty; fifty yard dash for fat men; fifty yard dash for girls; three-legged race;
(3) boxing contests, boxers to be mounted;
(4) horseshoe pitching contest and
(5) a baseball game between married men and single men will be the order of the afternoon events. The county agent will umpire the base ball game.

Every one should plan to be on hand at the park at Sidney at ten o'clock in the morning in order to hear the program and especially Mr. Hunt, who will have a special message for every farmer present. Bring a well filled lunch basket and plan to stay all day; the afternoon's events will be well worth your while. Cofffee will be served free to all present.

Prizes will be offered for all athletic events: FIRST Prize $2.00 and SECOND Prize $1.00.
