John Hayes (b. 1822, Ireland, d. 1890 Charles City) and Margaret Hannon,(b. 1823 Ireland, d. 1911 Charles City) arrived in Floyd Co. abt. 1869. Hannon brothers (Michael?) also there. Many Hayes children: John m. Mary Nosser, James m. Mary Monen. Girls married E.J.Scherf, Hiram Palmer, Joseph Smith, William Goodrow, and William Thomas. Searching for any descendants.
