Our family is looking for the birth father of Harriett Eva KIDDER GARVIN, born in Maynard, Fayette County, Iowa on February 26th 1864. Her mother was Sarah CHANDLER CANFIELD originally from Orwell Twp, Ashtabula Co, Ohio. We don't know CANFIELDS's first name. He died during the Civil War prior to May 1864 at which time Sarah gave Harriet Eva up for adoption to John and Harriett KIDDER.
