Seeking information about PLATT SMITH, b. 1813 in New York, married Caroline LIVERMORE Aug. 10, 1842,his brother SENECCA SMITH and their sister ASENATH SMITH b.1827,d. May 19, 1902 married GEORGE WASHINGTON BARNES June 29, 1851. Platt was a prominent attorney in Dubuque County in the mid 1800's in the firm Smith, McKinlay and Poor. He was heavily involved with railroad development particularly with the Dubuque and Pacific Railroad Company.
