Researching Cornelius Mahoney (1828-1905) and his wife Bridget Summers Fitzgibbon (1829-1881) who lived in Hazel Green Township, Delaware County, Iowa from about 1862 until 1876. Cornelius was born in County Cork, Ireland, the son of Timothy and Mary (Gogan) Mahony while Bridget was born in the Parish of Askeaton, County Limerick, Ireland.

Also researching Bridget's brother, Martin Summers (1830-1890) also of Delaware County, who married Johanna Kennedy (1822-1890). Martin and Johanna are buried in Calvary Cemetery at Ryan and were the parents of Martin Jr. (1858-1897) (married Rose McEnany) and Mary (1861-1917) (married Lawrence Freeman).

Children of Martin Summers Jr. and Rose McEnany were Martin Leo; Anna (married M.W. Underwood); and Johanna (married Z.E. Goss).
