I am looking for any information on the William Ernst family who resided in Davis County, Iowa about 1860. My great grandfather was William Strange Ernst who was born in Davis County Iowa on January 28, 1862. He had 9 siblings. I am hopeful someone in the family is still in Iowa.

The Ernst family seems to have moved to Lamar, Barton County, Missouri by the time Theresa Ernst was born on February 15, 1872.

William Strange Ernst, Theresa Ernst, and Orestes Ernst ended up in Craig, Burt County, Nebraska, where they remained until their deaths. William married Eva McPherson and Theresa married Eva's brother, Ai Lester McPherson.

The other Ernst siblings are Martha, John Jacob, Sidney, Emma Elvesa, Mary Etta, Lydia Ruvina, and Sylvester.
