I am looking for the obituaries of Fremont Mcclatchey (died October 3, 1923) and his wife, Leona Elvena Mcclatchey (died December 30, 1923). They both died in Dallas county, Iowa and are buried in the Pleasant Hill-Prairie Center Cemetery, Dallas Co., Iowa.

That's an interesting one. I'm not sure whether Dawson ever had its own paper. My guess is you'll want the Perry paper, the Daily Chief or whatever its incarnation was at that point. I know that the issues a year or so before that are not in existence but I think your period has been filmed and would be found at both the Iowa State Historical Library in Des Moines (but not in Iowa City), and also at the Roy Estle Memorial Library in Dallas Center. If it were me, I'd contact the Dallas County genealogical society and ask them about a lookup. It might be $15, but they're going to know what to look for where.
