My direct Rooney ancestors settled in the area of Edgar County, Illinois.

Are you able to find any death notices or obituaries or any other pertinent records that might show a townland or parish or birth in Ireland for any of these family members? The children of Thomas & Katharine Moran were all born in Ireland. There seem to be so many records that must be available about this family that I don't know where to begin with the most likely record to get a specific location in County Mayo.
