If you are related to David and Charlotte, then we too are related, through their eldest child Mary.

Mary E. Carlisle, b. 1856, Pittsford, Hillsdale, Michigan, married Feb. 21, 1874 to Joseph Asa Davis (b. 1843, New York) in Boone County, Iowa. They had at least five children I know, Rose, May, Charles, John and Asa, all born in Iowa. I'm unsure of when Mary died or where is she is buried but the family resided somewhere in Dallas County, Iowa and by 1892 her husband was remarried to another women. Some speculate that she died in childbirth, presumable before 1892. I'm still trying to figure out when and why she died as well as where she is buried. I don't know much of the other Carlisle children, though it seems the family had moved from Michigan to Iowa at some point.
