DEATH TO NELLIE HOGAN
Ellen Delores Hogan died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. Hogan in Ward Township, March 14, 1908. She was born in the same home, September 19, 1879, being of a family of twelve, eight girls and four boys, the oldest having died in infancy. The others are Mrs. Elizabeth Lynch of Rawlins, Wyoming; Michael if Iowa City; Mary Delaney of Denver, Colorado; John, Jerrie, Mrs. Catherine Mullen, Mrs. Delia O'Leary, Edward, Tena, and Agnes of Clarke County.
She had spent the summer with Mrs. Lynch in hopes of regaining her health.
She was one of Clarke County's first grade teachers, having taught several years previous to her last illness, which began over a year ago.
She was a sweet happy girl who enjoyed life, who always looked on the bright side and even during her suffering never issued a complaint. She was the idol of her immediate family and loved by all who knew her.
