I want to make it known that the Mormon library has misinformation on our Lingle lineage. Their record of Simon Lingle's wife as Susan Steener should be corrected to Susan (or Susanna) Stoner. In fact she gave her maiden name of Stoner to her sons:
John Stoner Lingle (b. Pa. abt 1811, lived in Benton Co, Mo)Simon Stoner Lingle b. abt. 1820 in Pa. lived in Morgan Co,Mo. I believe another son listed as Joseph S. in 1850 Harrisburg, Pa. census probably also bore the middle name Stoner. A Susan Lingle (probably his mother) was listed in the household in that census. Her husband Simon Conrad Lingle had died in 1849.
