Obituary
Albert Kirkpatrick
Albert R., son of James and Sarah Comstock Kirkpatrick, was born near Grand River on June 12, 1884 and departed this life on July 24, near Grand River, Iowa. At the time of his death, he was 75 years, one month, and twelve days old.
On May 10, 1904, he was united in marriage to Mae Boles who preceded him in death in 1921. To this union four children were born: Harold of Ankeny, Lois Barbour of Kellerton, Clair of Beaconsfield, and Reba Lamb of Osceola.
On May 7, 1938, he was united in marriage to Arlene Moeller at Davenport, Iowa. To this union was born seven children: Loudean of Osceola, Kenlyn Kelso of Omaha, Leann, Kent, Dellane and Clay of the home, and Shawn who preceded him in death.
He leaves seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and a sister who died in infancy, and a sister, Anna Grimm and a brother, George.
His entire life was spent farming in Iowa except for a few years he homesteaded in Kansas.
Services were held at the Methodist church in Grand River on July 27 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. George R. Lamb officiating. Interment in Grand River cemetery.
