ARTHUR IIAMS RITES CONDUCTED SEPT. 16

Funeral services were held Sept. 16 from the Madison chapel church for Arthur Iiams, member of a pioneer Madison county family, whose death had occurred Sept. 14, at his home near Murray. The Rev. W. W. Williams, pastor of the Murray Church of Christ, officiated. Burial was made in the Union cemetery.

Mr. Iiams was born near Peru Feb. 12, 1874, and was 82 years of age at his death. He was the youngest son of Michael and Calista Iiams.

He was married April 24, 1895, in Osceola to Florence Kirk. They were parents of nine children. They celebrated their sixty-first wedding anniversary on April 24 of this year.

He spent his life farming in Madison and Clarke counties.

Surviving are his wife: four sons, Everett Iiams of Lorimor, Boyd and Dale Iiams of Murray and Nathan Iiams of Molalla, Ore.; three daughters, Mrs. Thelma Thurman of Omaha, Mrs. Velma Gibbons of Kress, Tex., and Mrs. Ethel Cook of Murray, two sisters, Mrs. Frank Kirk of Lorimor and Mrs. Mary King of Englewood, Colo.; 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
