Thanks. I have actually seen most all of this. Christ's Evangelical Church records Tinicum Twp. Bucks Co PA lists his birth name as Edmond and his birth date as 31 Oct 1841 (not the 1842 on his grave record), thus Edward and Edwin listings in census and elsewhere make things more confusing. I'm not totally convinced that the Iowa Edward is the same as the one in PA who was son of John and Charlotte. Hoping someone descended from the Iowa Edward Wismer can confirm. Knowing Ellen's maiden name could also prove helpful.
