Looking for information about Edith Johnson Beckfield.
Edith was born in Cripple Creek COO about 1909 to Waldemere and Elizabeth (Swanquist) Johnson. After her mother's death in 1917 she moved to Albert City, IA to live with her grandmother's sisters family, Louis & Maria (Larson) Johnson. I find Edith on the 1920 and 1930 census in Buena Vista county, Fairfield township. In 1936 she is listed in my g.g. grandfather's sisters will as a great niece and her name at this time is Edith Beckfield so I am assuming she was married sometime between 1930 and 1936. I don't know her husband's name or if she had any children.

My maiden name is Beckfield. My father is related to almost all Beckfield's in Albert City, Iowa. The only Edith Beckfield I know of was born a Beckfield and was married to Walter Franzmeier. Edith was born in 1905. Let me know if you think this is relation.

I was a niece to Edith when she was married to my uncle.
Edith Johnson was married to Leo D. Beckfield at the Swedish Lutheran Church in Albert City, Iowa on Sept. 27th, 1930 but were divorced about June in 1955. I do not have any information past that date.
