Rev. Judsen G. Spencer and wife Mary Jane day both originally from New York lived briefly in Waverly, Iowa in the early 1870's where he was a Congregationalist Minister. There four children, Elmer, Kittie, Hattie and Belle came with them while my grandmother Nelley or Ellen or Elizabeth was born in Waverly. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.

Paul, you didn't mention whether you want to trace Judsen and Mary J.'s lineage, or track them and their offspring into more recent time.

Do you have the family in any censuses?

They are in Montgomery County, IL, in 1870.

They are in Nebraska in 1880 (data below from familysearch.org):

With my original message, I was looking for information on them living in Waverly, County, Iowa.

I currently have their census records and information on their descendents, except for Elmer. I know they came from Renssaeler, New York but I don't have any other information about them while they lived there or who their parents were.

I also loose track of them both as I have no records of their deaths. Supposedly, Judsen remarried to an Ellen Wood and that she lived in Boston in her later years.

If you know more about this family, or are also researching this line please let me know.

I am church historian in Elk River, MN where Rev. Spencer served in 1876. Am looking for a photo of him (and family) for minister display at the church. Hope someone out there can help me.
