The 1870 Bremer County census shows the household of Nutt with some members spelled Knott and one spelled Knot. I know the name was changed but cannot find a record of when. Kate Knott married Sylvester Leitha. John Knott married Lillian Alcock and then Carrie Martin. His father married twice; the first wife died about 1881. Any information would be appreciated.
