ANNA FREDRIKA BLOMGREN

A final tribute was paid to her memory at Augustana Lutheran church with Rev. Ruben Spong in charge. Drexel PETERSON sang three hyms, accompanied at the organ by Miss Kathryn ANDERSON. In charge of the floral tributes were Arthur MYERS, Mr. & Mrs. Will SCOTT and Mrs. Ralph JACOBSON. Pallbearers were Ralph JACOBSON, Fred CARLSON, Anthony RIKER, Ernest BOWMAN and Fred GILDEA. Interment was in Linwood Park Cemetery, east (Boone, IA).

Anna Fredrika (Johansdotter) PETERSON, daughter of Johan A. PETERSSON & Sophia JOHANSDOTTER, was born April 25, 1870 in Komstad, Enhult Savsjo, Sweden and died at her home in Boone County, Iowa, March 27, 1942 at the age of 71 years 11 months and 2 days. She was confirmed into the Lutheran Church in Sweden on Palm Sunday, April 6, 1884. She received her education in her mother country.

In 1893, she came to the U. S. to visit her Uncle John MALCOLM in Oneida, Illinois. She never returned to her homeland. She married Karl W. BLOMGREN, March 4, 1897 at Altona, Knox Co., IL. In the spring of 1906, they moved their family to a farm in Worth Township, Boone County, IA where she lived for the next 36 years.

Those surviving are her husband, and three children, Mrs. Clara HULL of Madrid, Lloyd and Forrest of Boone; six grandchildren: Lorraine, Robert, Marian, Donald, Chester and Darwin; one sister, Esther ANDERSON of Woodhull, IL and two brothers, August PETTERSSON of Sweden and Oscar PETERSON of Superior, Wisconsin. Two sons, Floyd Eugene & an infant; one brother (Karl), and her parents in Sweden preceded her in death.

Relatives from out of town were: Oscar PETERSON & Mrs. Bernard (Astrid) WESELY from Superior, WI; Mrs. Esther ANDERSON, Woodhull, IL; Mr. & Mrs. G. Alfred Nelson, Altona, IL; Frank NELSON, Moline, IL; Miss Ethel NELSON, Galesburg, IL; Elmer NELSON, Stanhope, IA; Mr. & Mrs. Ed JOHANSON, Marshalltown, IA; and Mr. & Mrs. George Nelson of Madrid, IA.
