Hi my name is Janet{ torstensonadams@yahoo.com}.I of course am researching our Family history.I am so stuck!Jacob Myers of Brooks/Nodaway,Adams Co,Iowa. I am looking for any info I can find. I found a 1860 and 1870 census with him and Family listed,then in 1880 I found his 2nd-wife Sarah, listed as married to John Brown.I found that Jacob died on Jan. 2,1872 and is buried at Baldwin cemetery.From what I can figure Jacob was born in North Carolina on March 11,1827 {can't find his parents} and he got married to Mary {Mollie} Tucker on Nov. 18, 1847,they lived in Illinois for awhile till abt 1852?,then moved to Iowa by 1853.Mary died abt. 1859, because Jacob was married to Sarah {don't know maiden name}in the 1860 Census.I know he had a succesful farm in Nodaway,and I think he had something to do with setting up the Baldwin Cemetery.I can't find any death records,Land records,or newspaper articals on him.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
