Can someone tell me what information I could expect to see on an Indiana death certificate ordered from the state board of health?
The county certificate (Greene) only shows limited info (name, date, and one or two other facts). It is more like a log entry than a full certificate. The registrar in Greene County says that the state certificate only has the same info.
If I order a state certificate (year 1919) will I receive an actual copy of the orginal document -- complete with informant's name, doctor's signature, registration date, etc?
Many other states (Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, WV, etc. etc.)have detailed death certificates for this time period. What can I expect from Indiana?
I am hoping that the certificate will show the deceased person's mother's name, but I realize that may depend on what the informant knew.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
