According to the book "Sons of the Wilderness" John married a unnamed Delaware woman in the early 1800s and had two sons with her, James & John Jr. John's wife died prior to 1813, son James died while he was a youth, and his other son John Jr. left Indiana by 1820. It is thought John Jr. died in the 1860s. The book was written by Charles N. Thompson, published by Conner Prairie Press, and the ISBN # is 0-9617367-6-3.
