I am responding to this from the Burden side... we have just started to try and find information out about our history, which is an adventure, My Grandfather was Earl Elzworth BURDEN a brother to Silas we believe... He was of Mulatto descent and we do know that his father Was Steven Burden and Mother Martha Jane (Stubblefield-we believe) he was born in 1892 and had a younger brother Roy E Burden.... I would love to find out some more information :)
