Do you know whether Robert Clark's son William was the William Clark who married Mary E. Scott?
Mary was born in 1836/37 in Canal Dover, Tuscarawas, OH and moved with her family to Union Twp., Wells Co., IN about 1848/49. The 1860 census shows the family living in Zanesville.
Mary and William were married in Union Twp. on 31 Dec 1860. According to the 1880 census, William was also born in Ohio in 1836/37. They moved to Auburn, DeKalb Co., IN about 1870, and William died there on 26 Jun 1891.
There were three children: George, born in Wells Co. in 1868/69; John Raymond, born in Auburn in 1870/71; and Kate Darley, born in Auburn in 1872/73.
Mary is from a Scott family I have been researching, and I am very interested in finding out more about her husband and children. If anyone on this board has information on her parents (John Foote Scott and Susan Hunter) or siblings, I'd love to compare notes on them as well.
