Opal D. Lockwood
Opal D. Lockwood, 87, died July 19, 1995, at 10 a.m. in Miller's Merry Manor.
Mrs. Lockwood, a 1925 Huntington High School graduate, retired in 1965 after 23 years as a winder at Square D and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She was born Oct. 31, 1907, to Emmett and Effie Daugherty Shipley. Her first marriage was Oct. 29, 1949, in Huntington to John W. Shoup, and he preceded her in death May 17, 1964.
Her second marriage was Dec. 11, 1965, in Bluffton to Cecil C. Lockwood, and he died July 1, 1980.
Surviving are two stepsons, Cecil Lockwood Jr., of Bluffton, and Roger Lockwood of Ossian; a stepdaughter, Bonnie Shoup Donovan, of South Carolina; a sister Wanda Fae Landstrom, of Lucerne, CA; two nieces, Diana L. Koemer of Leesburg, and Joan E. Hipskind, of Antioch, CA; nine step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.
Private burial services were in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, was in charge of arrangements.
