Ossian News.

Mr. and Mrs. Vane C. Boone, and little daughters spent the week end in Huntington visiting with Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Weaver.

A S. Elzy was in Tocsin, Sunday, where he delivered the baccalaureate sermon to the graduating class of the Tocsin High School. The services were held in the United Brethren church, and Mr. Elzey took as his subject "The Bible." The class of five students are Martha Heckley, Dorothy Kunkle, Forest Garton, Wendell Wasson and Fred Mills. The commencement exercises will be held tonight in the U. B. church.

Mr. and Mrs. George Mock and Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Dustman, of Bluffton, were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Melchin.

John H. Hoover was a Fort Wayne visitor, Monday.

Miss Ida Kreigh left Monday for Bluffton to spend the week in the home of her sister, Mrs. John Sowards.

Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Merriman of Liberty Center were Monday guests of the latter's mother, Mrs. Kate Way. In the afternoon, they all went to Fort Wayne to see Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Woodward.

Joseph Hoover and family moved, Tuesday to Zanesville, where Mr. Hoover will open a shoe repair shop.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bailey and family spent Sunday in Uniondale with Mr. and Mrs. M. O. Haflich.

Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Robeck, of Fort Wayne, visited, Sunday and Monday with the latter's mother, Mrs. Emma Cline.

Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Hoot leave today for their home in Toledo, Ohio, after a two weeks visit here in the homes of their daughters, Mrs. Carl Wilson and Mrs. Fred Vanada.

Dwight Bell of Chicago, is visiting this week among Ossian friends, a guest in the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Summers.

Mrs. Will Woodward returned home, Monday, after a visit in the home of her son, C. O. Woodward of Fort Wayne.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dickinson will move from North Jefferson street to the house on West Lefever, which was vacated by Joseph Hoover.

Harry Glass of Fort Wayne, spent the week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrews Glass.

Miss Dorcas Glass, who has been in Bluffton for some time helping care for Miss Nina Hatfield has returned to Ossian.

The local Pythian Sisters are going to Bluffton, Friday evening, April 2, to do the work for a large class of candidates.

Miss Elizabeth Allen was hostess last evening for the junior class party. Each junior took a guest. The young people motored to the Allen home, which is southwest of Ossian.

Mrs. Lulu Hoopengardner, and the Misses Tessie Jennings and Marie Chalfant will leave Thursday, for Goshen to attend the Presbyterial meeting of the W. H. F. M. S. The young ladies go to attend the Westminster Guild. They will return Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mahnensmith, Mr. and Mrs. Harley Heckley and Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Elzey were at Tocsin Sunday, attending the baccalaureate exercises.

The Whileaway club met at the home of Mrs. Carl Wilson. Spring flowers were named at roll call. Mrs. Sarah Foughty read a poem from Riley. Current events were discussed and Mrs. Wilson conducted a contest which Mrs. Will Hoopengardner won. Twelve members and two guests, Mrs. C. A. Petry and Mrs. Aaron Hoot of Toledo, Ohio were present.
